Hi,
Ours is Substituted labor(eb3) and Priority date is Feb2002.

Blacks, Latinos and even us Indians have reservation in the US. We get reservations right from Kinder garden, thru college and job opportunities. Many Federal govt. contracts are reserved for minorities and women.

We all morons and still wont learn, we will still start predicting for next visa bulletin hoping that a reincarnation of god will come and deliver us visa numbers.
Unless we all make a collective effort no one is going to listen to us. I know the fate of my post, we all will get busy to get our post noted or express our opinion which will definitely solve our problem or proving our point the that "i am right you are wrong" or get busy with "my ideas are better than yours" or "who wins the quote slamming contest".

There is nothing change in the next bulletin. What you saw from the last couple of bulletins "Unavailable". That should be happened with in few months. This is my opinion. I am not blaming any body. This is the real situation going on from the last couple of years bulletins.

I am the same boat, got the approval email and a week later received the approval notice in the mail. Did not get welcome or CPO email. My approval notice says I MAY have to do biometrics again to get my PR card
and they will notify me about appearing for biometrics if required.
Dose your approval notice have a similar message?

it says nothing about who can file an application.
it only says the "status may be adjusted" IF.....
I-485 application is nothing but application to "adjust the status". Section 245 govern the area of I-485 filing and approval (or denial).
Also, read (3) again in previous post
an immigrant visa is immediately available to him at the time his application is filed.
Do you know that "his application" means here. Right, it is I-485 application.

If no one is ready to give you a job, then LEAVE to your home country! Period! No one forced you to come to this country. And if you do not have a job then no one has invited you here. You are on your own! But if you want to stay, then abide by the rules. Get yourself into another visa status.

GC comes with a 'sleeve' to keep the card safely. The pouch in the sleeve have special silver lining to prevent 'de-magnetisation' over the period. Please, take due care as its not easy to get replacement.
I was advised so, at SSA. As I was about to put the card in my wallet (Ya, I went to SSA to update my ssn) gentleman at the window interrupted me. I thought I should share this small tip with IVian fella.

We filed our application on 5/31. Reached USCIS on 6/1.
Our attorney office informed us some of checks got cashed for some of us( whose 140 is pending not yet cashed) but still none of us received notice letter. Those who got early receipts may be lucky. But I think 3 weeks are reasonable. Since we are current for next month also we no need to be panic on receipts.

We will each individually send flowers to Emilio Gonzalez to be delivered July 10th. There is a suggestion to use a paypal account where we contribute money. However no one has come forward to take over the account so far.
The theme of the note attached to the flowers should be Sympathy or Get well.
